I’m Hayley and I’m a 23 year old recent grad from the University of Connecticut (and now going to graduate school at Northeastern University). Ever since I was little, I had a love for photography and found my home behind the camera rather than in front of it. As I entered college and spent time in classes I didn’t really enjoy, I had somewhat of an identity crisis as to what I wanted to be when I grew up. That’s when I realized I wanted to take something I love to do and make it fit with what I wanted to study. So with that, I had a change of heart in terms of my major and decided to switch from nursing to pursuing a home in the UConn School of Business. That said, I ended up graduating with a marketing degree with a concentration in digital marketing and analytics and a minor in real estate. Now, I’m a graduate student at Northeastern getting my Master’s in Corporate and Organizational Communications with a public and media relations concentration. And I couldn’t be happier.
As of right now, my photos are taken either on my Nikon D5500 DSLR or my Iphone XS. My photos come from a variety of different places - some things are staged, some are just captured how they are in the moment. I’m still working on finding my “style” so there’s no real “theme” of this passion project of mine.
This is my hope: I want to harness something I’m passionate about into something productive and possibly even acquire an audience for it. As I’ve completed my college career and am slowly venturing into my professional one, I’m hoping to blend this creative side of mine with my analytical side. Again, I’m no professional, just a girl with a camera that I’m constantly learning new things about.
I hope you enjoy!
